Parker Retzlaff Wins 2nd Career Xfinity Pole at Martinsville

#31: Parker Retzlaff, Jordan Anderson Racing, FUNKAWAY Chevrolet Camaro

Parker Retzlaff claimed his second career NASCAR Xfinity Series pole at Martinsville Speedway on Friday (Nov. 1) with a lap of 95.151 mph. The Jordan Anderson Racing driver claimed a pole earlier in the season at Richmond Raceway and sits with four top 10s and two top fives in his second full-time season.

Retzlaff will be joined by Our Motorsports driver Anthony Alfredo on the front row. Row two consists of two playoff drivers below the cut line with Chandler Smith in third and Jesse Love fourth, likely needing a win to advance. Justin Allgaier rounds out the top five in fifth.

Austin Hill (who’s in the Championship 4), Sammy Smith, Sheldon Creed, Aric Almirola and Cole Custer qualified sixth through 10th, respectively.

Playoff drivers AJ Allmendinger and Sam Mayer qualified 11th and 12th, respectively. Allmendinger locked himself into the Championship 4 with a win at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Mayer sits 47 points below and will need to win to advance.

Ryan Sieg did not make a qualifying lap due to a brake leak and will start at the back on Saturday.

With 38 drivers entered, all drivers will race at Martinsville on Saturday.

The final race in the Round of 8 for the NASCAR Xfinity Series season kicks off Saturday (Nov. 1) at 4 p.m. ET on The CW.
