Speedway Motors Fabricated Transmission Crossmembers

TorqLink Universal Adjustable Transmission Crossmember

The new Torqlink fabricated transmission crossmembers by Speedway Motors, unveiled at the 2024 SEMA Show, are available for 1967 to 1972 Chevy C10 pickups, 1973 to 1987 square body C10 pickups, and 1964 to 1972 GM A-body cars (Chevelle, GTO, 442, Skylark, and so on). There are also universal-width applications. Each crossmember is manufactured from heavy-duty 10-gauge steel. They offer support for any GM-based manual or automatic transmission as well as aftermarket transmissions like the Tremec TKX and T56. Torqlink crossmembers are manufactured in-house by Speedway Motors and feature adjustable mounting points and adjustable transmission mount pad heights.

The TorqLink Universal Adjustable Transmission Crossmembers are engineered to make installation of custom drivelines as easy as possible. There are four models available with an adjustability range from 29.5 inches to 45.1 inches. All are laser-cut, press-bent and welded for strength. These adjustable crossmembers accommodate a range of transmission setups and drivelines, making them ideal for custom builds and restorations.

In addition, there’s a height-adjustable transmission mount pad available in 2- or 4-inch drop with 1-inch total adjustment range up or down. Each crossmember features a heavy-duty black powdercoat finish as well as Grade 5 mounting hardware to ensure long-lasting performance. The mounting pad surface on each crossmember is designed to work with the popular and common two bolt transmission mount with a 1-1/2-inch mounting hole/stud pattern. It’s also slotted for adjustment.

TorqLink 73-87 C10 Square Body Transmission Crossmember

The TorqLink crossmembers for the 1967 to 1972 Chevy C10 pickups, 1973 to 1987 square body C10 pickups, and 1964 to 1972 GM A-body cars make transmission swaps easy and hassle-free by using a bolt-in installation process that utilizes existing framerail holes; no drilling is required. Built with the same attention to detail as their universal counterparts, these crossmembers are laser-cut from 10-gauge steel that’s press-bent and welded. Each is finished with a durable black powdercoat finish.

Among many other features, each crossmember is engineered with extra clearance to fit a 3-inch-diameter exhaust.
