Holley Performance Products has dropped new Hi-Ram EFI Intake Manifolds for 1955-1986 Gen 1 small-block Chevy engines that are sure to turn heads. As Alex Stivaletti from Holley explained, there’s still a huge demand for small-block Chevy setups among racers and car builders who prefer to keep things traditional. This new intake adapts the proven benefits of Holley’s high-performance systems for LS and Gen 3 Hemi engines.
The Holley Hi-Ram EFI Intake Manifolds for the Gen 1 small-block Chevy come in two configurations to fit different needs:
The 300-950 features a traditional 105mm top-feed plenum layout. It’s perfect for those who want maximum performance without worrying about hood clearance. This setup is built for high-output applications. Holley notes that it’s a cost-effective alternative to fabbed sheetmetal or billet manifolds where induction system height has no limit.
The 300-951 offers a 95mm front-feed plenum layout that’s hood-friendly and compatible with OE hoods on Gen 1, 2, and 3 Camaros and Firebirds. This means builders can achieve a modern upgrade while maintaining the classic look, without the hassle of modifying the hood. Holley says it should be compatible with most applications using a mild cowl induction hood
Crafted from durable 356-T6 aluminum, both versions are built to withstand serious performance demands. They come equipped with black anodized EFI fuel rails, already machined for -6AN O-ring fittings, making installation smoother. Whether you’re using drive-by-wire or cable-actuated GM Gen IV LS 4-bolt throttle bodies, Holley’s Hi-Ram manifolds support them. The intakes are designed to rev up performance in the 1,500 to 8,000 rpm range.
With these manifolds, Holley provides the look and feel of a custom-built setup but with the practicality and reliability of a cast-aluminum product. That means small-block Chevy owners can finally combine classic-style muscle with modern-functioning tech to get impressive output, especially when mated to Holley’s Terminator X plug-and-play EFI systems.
