Alpine has revealed its latest change of livery for the final three races of the 2024 season.
The team has brought back its pink livery for the Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi grands prix. It has run pink colours already this year, acknowledging title sponsor BWT, but its new livery for the final races features much more pink and less black.
This is the latest in a series of significant livery changes Alpine has run during the course of 2024. Besides their standard livery and the earlier pink version, they also ran two one-off designs.
The A524s appeared in red colour schemes at the Belgian Grand Prix and orange at the United States Grand Prix. The special designs were introduced to promote a film and a video game respectively.
The only team to have changed liveries as often as Alpine this year is McLaren. They used special designs at the Japanese, Monaco, Singapore and United States grands prix.
Alpine head to this weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix in high spirits having scored by far their best result of the season in the previous round. Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly’s double podium finish in Brazil lifted the team three places to sixth in the constructors’ championship.
“The weekend in Sao Paulo was incredible, it still feels like a fever dream,” said Ocon. “It has been a difficult year for us as a team so to get a double podium was amazing and it has definitely made everyone hungry for more.”
Two other teams have already confirmed they will depart from their usual liveries this weekend. Sauber revealed a changed livery yesterday and Williams will continue to use the yellow engine cover they first sported at the Mexican Grand Prix, albeit now associated with a different sponsor.
