Normally you’d say that a few months before a race. Or a few weeks. Or, if you’re a real procrastinator, mere days before it’s time to go out on grid.
Despite knowing better, we were cutting it even closer: We’d just unloaded our Miata in the Sebring paddock for a 24 Hours of Lemons tech inspection and were proudly discussing the to-do list with the team.
