With a speed of 182.791 mph, Noah Gragson knocked Tyler Reddick off the pole as the last car in the NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying session to win his first career series pole via speed at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, May 20.
Austin Hill qualified third, while the Joe Gibbs Racing duo of Brandon Jones and Ryan Truex qualified fourth and fifth, respectively.
Justin Allgaier qualified sixth, with Ty Gibbs being the meat between a JR Motorsports sandwich in seventh as Josh Berry ended up in eighth. Teammate Sam Mayer qualified ninth. Finally, Riley Herbst is the only Ford to qualify in the top 10 and will start in 10th.
Landon Cassill did not make a qualifying attempt after slapping the wall during practice and will have to start in the rear with a backup car. In addition, despite Kyle Weatherman‘s qualifying effort in 17th, Jesse Iwuji will climb into the car for the main event and will also have to start at the rear of the field.
Brennan Poole is the only driver that failed to qualify out of the 39 cars entered this weekend and will not compete on Saturday.
