The ARCA Menards Series took to Iowa Speedway late Saturday (June 11) night for the Calypso Lemonade 150. The 10 p.m. ET start was delayed due to rain and didn’t go green until just after 1 p.m. ET with pole-sitter Jesse Love leading the field.
After a long night and a late start, it was NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Brandon Jones in victory lane who also won the last ARCA race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Jones battled hard all night with the No. 18 of Sammy Smith, who started at the end of the field due to unapproved pre-race adjustments. After trading the lead and Love mixing it up, Jones took the win.
“You go through your whole [racing] life with rain delays and learning how to manage that time gap,” Jones said post-race. “It was 2019 the last time I had a win here, I had one in K&N East back in 2014 so I definitely have some laps here, good to finally get back to victory lane and see this place [Iowa Speedway] again.”
When asked about having room for another trophy, he said: “I think we’ll have room to accommodate it. Three more scheduled this year so hopefully, we get three more.”

Daniel Dye, who came in third in the points, also had an issue with a broken valve under the hood. He did not return to action and was scored in 17th.
