The Motul TT Assen delivered the on track drama and excitement in spades as Ducati Lenovo Team’s Francesco Bagnaia took victory ahead of Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) and Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing). A first DNF of the season for Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) meant he failed to pick up any points as his lead atop the title standings was cut down ahead of the summer break.
