“NASCAR car” is fine. Really, dude.
NASCAR basic design philosophy hasn’t changed in decades but “the bits” are updated every few years nowadays.
All other top-level racing series use much higher level technology- F1, Indycar, IMSA/WEC/ACO Sportscars…even Rally cars. You can decide for yourself if that results in better racing.
