Superstar Racing Experience Hires New CEO – RacingJunk News

SRX Series New CEO

The newest asphalt racing series, created by NASCAR stars Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham, will receive new leadership in 2022. As the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) rolls into its second season, this six-race series, will receive direction from its newest CEO Don Hawk. This knowledgeable motorsports leader, who was the notable force behind the late Dale Earnhardt’s business success and who has spent more than three decades in motorsports industry leadership roles, will be the face for “all series strategy, operations, and business development, including media, sales and marketing, personnel, track relationships, local events, competition, driver and crew chief relations, rules, safety, and international expansion,” said Stewart. “SRX is coming off a great first year with a lot of momentum, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Hawk take on this new role for us. He is incredibly well-respected in every corner of racing and someone I have worked with and admired for years.”

This series, conceived by two well-known NASCAR Hall of Famers with a goal to have all-star drivers like the Elliott family (Bill and Chase Elliott) compete against one another in Evernham’s equally prepared cars, is quickly receiving tons of attention from fans who have been looking for a return to the old-school side of asphalt racing. For a successful second season, SRX will turn to Hawk to continue to improve this series going forward. SRX said Hawk begins immediately and reports to the Executive Board of Ray Evernham, Tony Stewart, Bruin Capital CEO George Pyne, and Montag Group CEO Sandy Montag.
