Tomac tops defending Monster Energy SX champ Webb in thrilling main event; Monster’s Sexton places 3rd in 450 class… McAdoo podiums (3rd) in 250 main

CORONA, CA – March 7, 2022 (Motor Sports NewsWire) – In what was easily the most thrilling Monster Energy AMA Supercross main event of the 2022 season, Eli Tomac (Monster Energy/Star Racing/Yamaha) pulled off some unbelievable late-race heroics, passing defending supercross champion Cooper Webb (KTM) with a little over a lap left in the race, and brought home his unmatched 6th Daytona International Speedway Supercross win – breaking the record (5) previously held by Monster Energy’s Ricky Carmichael.

The win, coupled with an 8th place finish from 2nd place overall 450 class racer Jason Anderson (Monster Energy/Kawasaki), put Tomac up by 17 points in the premier class title chase.
