AMA Hall of Famer and On Any Sunday alum to race the Du Quoin Mile and headline more event-oriented championship
PICKERINGTON, OH – March 29, 2022 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – The AMA Flat Track Grand Championship (FTGC) — the country’s most prestigious amateur flat track event — will return July 7-13 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds in Du Quoin, Ill., with AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer and beloved On Any Sunday star David Aldana as the event’s Grand Marshal.
The FTGC, promoted and operated by the American Motorcyclist Association, has been the premier amateur flat track event since the mid-1970s. This year’s event will boast modified class structures, new race and entertainment schedules, and a whole week of bar-banging action on Short Track, TT, Mile and Half-Mile tracks.
Along with being the championship’s Grand Marshal, Aldana plans to strap on his own steel shoe and race the Du Quoin Mile.
