Despite a late crash Augusto Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Ajo) topped Moto2™ FP1 at the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas with a 2:10.489, a time good enough to beat of the three home heroes Cameron Beaubier (American Racing) by 0.036s. Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) rounded out the first top three of the weekend.
