'Rowdy,' A Documentary About Kyle Busch, Coming This Year: Watch The Trailer

The career of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch will be the focus of an upcoming documentary, Rowdy.

American distributor Utopia announced May 11 it had acquired worldwide rights to distribute the film, in partnership with Fathom Events.

Rowdy is set to premiere in Nashville on June 23 in conjunction with the running of the Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway. It will then be screened for one night only on June 29 in U.S. theaters.

“Kyle Busch is a world-class competitor and for nearly two decades has shined as one of the biggest stars in NASCAR,” NASCAR Managing Director of Entertainment Development and Content Matt Summers said in a press release. “We’re thrilled to partner with Chance Wright, Utopia and Fathom in bringing Kyle’s story to life for all race fans to enjoy.”

“ROWDY is an incredible comeback story of perseverance, grit, and overcoming improbable odds,” Wright, Rowdy executive producer, added. “Peeling back the curtain shows the truth in athleticism in NASCAR and Kyle. Hardcore fans of NASCAR will get as much out of this as the person who has never seen a race.”

Busch, who won the Cup championship in 2015 and again in 2019, is currently sixth in points through 12 races of the 2022 season with one win, three top fives and eight top 10s.
