It was a Team Penske party at the front of the field in Friday’s (June 3) NASCAR Cup Series practice session at World Wide Technology Raceway, as Joey Logano led a 1-2-3 Penske sweep with a speed of 136.753 mph.

In addition to having the fastest overall lap, Logano also had the fastest 10-lap and 15-lap averages of all drivers in the session.

Ryan Blaney and Austin Cindric posted the second- and third-fastest times, respectively, rounding out the Penske dominance. Kurt Busch was the fastest Toyota in fourth, and Erik Jones was the fastest Chevrolet in fifth.

Tyler Reddick, Aric Almirola, Kyle Larson, Ross Chastain, and Kyle Busch rounded out the top 10.

Several drivers suffered tire failures in the first half of the practice session, as William Byron, Alex Bowman and Bubba Wallace all had wheels go flat. In addition, Ben Rhodes — who is practicing and qualifying for Xfinity Series regular AJ Allmendinger — crashed into the turn 3 wall early in the session.

But the biggest moment of practice came from Parker Kligerman, as his No. 15 car caught fire with 30 minutes remaining.
