Tyler Reddick grabbed the pole for the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course after laying down a fast lap of 99.378 mph in the second round of qualifying Saturday (July 30).

No one could touch his time in the second round after he went the quickest about halfway through round two.

It’s his second career pole in the Cup Series and first of the year as he looks to win his second race of the year this weekend.

Austin Cindric, who was fastest in practice, starts next to Reddick on the front row, while Chase Briscoe and Christopher Bell make up the second row.

Team Penske teammates Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney slot in fifth and sixth, respectively. Michael McDowell is seventh, Chase Elliott is eighth and McDowell’s Front Row Motorsports cohort Todd Gilliland begins ninth. Kyle Busch completes the top 10.

The Verizon 200 airs Sunday, July 31 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
