Corey Heim Wins ARCA Pole At Michigan

Ahead of his fifth ARCA Menards Series start this season, Corey Heim nabbed the pole for the ARCA Menards Series race at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday (August 6). It’s his second ARCA pole this season and fifth career one.

Heim and fellow Toyota ARCA driver Sammy Smith make up the front row. Both drivers have also won this season – Heim in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway and Smith at Berlin Raceway and Elko Speedway.

2020 ARCA champion Bret Holmes, points leader Rajah Caruth and his Rev Racing teammate Nick Sanchez comprise the top five, starting third through fifth, respectively.

Gus Dean, Amber Balcaen, Cody Coughlin, Jason Kitzmiller and Greg Van Alst round out the top 10 starters, in sixth through 10th, respectively.

Three drivers failed to complete a lap in the group qualifying session – Daniel Dye, Zachary Tinkle and Jeffrey MacZink. Because only 21 drivers are entered at MIS, all drivers will compete in the ARCA race later on Saturday.

The ARCA race will take place later on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET with TV coverage provided by MAVTV Motorsports Network and available on FloRacing.
