Tanner Gray, Chase Purdy Teams Penalized For Loose Lug Nuts

#15: Tanner Gray, Team DGR, Ford F-150 Ford Performance

Both the crew chiefs of Tanner Gray and Chase Purdy have been fined after their vehicles were found to have one unsecured lug nut each following the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway last weekend, NASCAR announced Sept. 13.

Mike Hillman Jr, the crew chief for the No. 15 David Gilliland Racing outfit driven by Gray, and Matt Lucas, crew chief for Hattori Racing Enterprise’s No. 61 entry driven by Purdy, were each fined $2,500 as a result of the infractions.

Gray finished 16th on Friday night’s race at Kansas while Purdy ended his effort in 25th.

Both Gray and Purdy failed to qualify for the playoffs this year and sit 14th and 16th in the series standings, respectively. Gray has two top fives and five top 10s in 2022, while Purdy boasts one top 10.
