Derek Kraus will start from the pole in Thursday night’s (Sept. 11) Camping World Truck Series UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway after posting a qualifying lap of 15.276 seconds.
Kraus’s 125.609 mph lap was good enough to top Chandler Smith, who will join him on the front row after laying down a lap time of 15.279 seconds.
The second row will be made up of Stewart Friesen and Grant Enfinger. Corey Heim rounds out the top five.
Ty Majeski will start sixth and Christian Eckes will roll off in seventh while Bayley Currey, Matt DiBenedetto and Carson Hocevar fill the top 10 positions.
Josh Reaume, point leader Zane Smith and John Hunter Nemechek did not take a qualifying time, but are locked into the starting lineup and will start at the rear of the field.
With 37 trucks entered for 36 positions, the No. 90 of Justin Carroll failed to qualify.
“Hopefully we can take off … and have a good night,” said Kraus after his qualifying lap.
The UNOH 200 rolls off at 9:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 15. The race airs on FS1.
