The Superstar Racing Experience will return in 2023 with a move in broadcasters to ESPN, SRX announced Dec. 12.

The six-race season kicks off July 13 and will run on Thursdays throughout the summer at 9 p.m. ET via ESPN’s Thursday Night Thunder moniker.

For its first two seasons, CBS carried SRX races.

“Thursday Night Thunder is where guys like me, who were just starting our careers in USAC, got the chance to make a name for ourselves because of its presence on ESPN,” SRX co-founder Tony Stewart said in a release. “It’s great to see Thursday Night Thunder return, but to also be a part of it all over again with SRX.”

The tracks at which SRX will compete in 2023, as well as its driver lineup, will be revealed at later dates.

ESPN’s deal with SRX is for multiple years.
