Drag Week 2023 Track Schedule Announced

The dates and track lineup for the 19th running of Drag Week were released today, featuring two first-time racetracks.

The famed Darlington Dragway in South Carolina will serve as ground-zero for this year’s tour, with testing and the opening and closing days of competition taking place on the 1/4-mile in the town of Hartsville. The event will also visit the likewise-famous Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina and Bristol Dragway in Tennessee, and the “House of Hook” Carolina Dragway in South Carolina, before trekking back to Darlington.

Tom Bailey is the reigning overall champion of Drag Week, earning his fifth title behind the wheel of his Sick Seconds 2.0 Camaro, with an average elapsed time for the week of 6.58 seconds.

  • Sunday, Sept. 17 Darlington Dragway (Hartsville, S.C.)
  • Day 1 Racing – Monday, Sept. 18 Darlington Dragway (Hartsville, S.C.)
  • Day 2 Racing – Tuesday, Sept. 19 Rockingham Dragway (Rockingham, N.C.)
  • Day 3 Racing – Wednesday, Sept. 20 Bristol Dragway (Bristol, Tenn.)
  • Day 4 Racing – Thursday, Sept. 21 Carolina Dragway (Aiken, S.C.)
  • Day 5 Racing (Finals) – Friday, Sept. 22 Darlington Dragway (Hartsville, S.C.)

Registration for the event, which traditionally sells out quickly, opens in late March.
