NASCAR has issued a $50,000 fine to Daniel Suarez for his incident after the NASCAR Cup Series race at Circuit of the Americas.
Sections 4.4.B&D of the NASCAR Member Conduct were cited in the penalty, which is contact with another vehicle on pit road after the race.
The fine comes after Suarez bumped Alex Bowman‘s No. 48 with his car on pit road; just prior to that, Suarez made contact with his Trackhouse Racing Team teammate Ross Chastain on the cooldown lap.
Suarez currently has one top five and three top 10s so far this season. He sits 17th in the standings.
In his Cup career, he has one win at Sonoma Raceway last year, as well as 16 top fives and 62 top 10s.
