Preparing For The EngineLabs Giveaway Engine Build

If you somehow haven’t seen it yet, we’re once again building an engine live on the 2023 PRI Show floor in Indianapolis, Indiana, which we will be giving away to a lucky winner in April. Thanks to the presenting sponsor, Summit Racing, Late Model Engine‘s Vinnie Moneghetti will be aptly assembling the Gen-III HEMI giveaway engine on our booth (#951) on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the show (December 7th-9th).

This year, we’ll be shooting for 1,200 horsepower on the dyno, thanks to pressurized atmosphere from a Gen-6 3.8-liter twin-screw supercharger from Whipple. This stout engine will feature some of the finest parts the industry has to offer, including a forged rotating assembly, CNC-machined cylinder heads, and a trick valvetrain. These parts are not to just make the power, but to do it reliably, so that whatever this engine gets dropped in will be just at home cruising as it will be tearing up the track.
