Today’s small-tire grudge and no-time racing cars often tend to be among the most beautiful, show-car-quality machines in the sport, and this stunning new C7 Chevrolet Corvette owned by Nicolas Feliciano that made its debut in the APEX Turbo booth at the PRI Show in Indianapolis certainly continues the trend.

The car is motivated by a 440 cubic inch LS engine that utilizes a Noonan Race Engineering block paired with 10-degree MBE heads, fed boost by a big honkin’ APEX 112mm single turbocharger. Controlled by an FT600 ECU, FT injectors, FTSpark, and the full compliment of FuelTech components, Feliciano says it should produce as much as 3,300 horsepower and dip a good ways into the three-second zone.

The power is backed up by a Neal’s three-speed transmission with a Cameron’s Torque Converter Services lock-up unit.

Todd Nelson built the Corvette and completed it a few weeks ago. It has yet to see track time, but will be put through its paces in time for its planned on-track debut at Lights Out 15 in February. Feliciano will also target Mike Hill’s 4.84 bore-spacing Small Block Boost class on the 275 drag radials at events throughout the season.

The 2017 model ‘Vette retains all of the factory body panels, roof, doors, sills, trim, and more, for a true original look atop a thoroughbred race car that’s likewise still all factory wheelbase and dimensions.

Feliciano, a Puerto Rico native who now calls Griffin, Georgia home, owns and operates Nicolas Performance, performing performance tuning, and will naturally handle all of the tuning chores on this new piece. Feliciano is no stranger to no-time racing nor the LS engine combination, as he’s been racing with great success an RX7 with an LS powerplant in recent years. This new Corvette, of course, will be a whole new level.
