Frankie Muniz Announces Phoenix as Part of 2024 Racing Schedule

Arca Menards Series

Frankie Muniz will return to NASCAR at Phoenix Raceway, he confirmed to Frontstretch at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 19.

“We’ll be doing a lot of racing this year,” Muniz said after retiring from the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Daytona due to being caught up in a crash. “Next on the schedule is Phoenix.”

Muniz did not release additional details about his 2024 schedule beyond Phoenix.

Muniz joined Joey Gase Motorsports for the Xfinity season opener at Daytona and was forced to qualify on time with no owner points. He managed to do so while team owner Joey Gase failed to qualify.

However Muniz’s Xfinity debut was short lived, as he was caught up in a crash and retired from the race after 37 laps. He finished 33rd.

“Before I knew it, I just saw a bunch of smoke,” Muniz said. “Tons of cars going all over the place, and I thought I picked the right side to go through. But I just happened to go through the grass, and the grass is still so wet from all the rain. So just lost the rear and ran into someone.”

Muniz mentioned the intensity difference between Xfinity and the ARCA Menards Series, the latter of which he contested in 2023, and that JGM was “teaching me really quick” about the Xfinity cars.

“I’ve got so much to learn,” he said.
