Jared Ring To Debut Cummins-Powered Pro 275 Cadillac ATS-V

In a major move for the diesel racing scene, Ring Racing owner Jared Ring has revealed an incredible new transformation of the already very trick 2016 Cadillac ATS-V previously owned by Street Outlaws No Prep Kings star Larry Larson. The iconic Cadillac is now equipped with radial tires and a powerhouse 415-cubic inch Cummins engine.

Jared Ring acquired the Cadillac in 2023, patiently awaiting Larson to complete the No Prep Kings schedule before taking the reins. Speaking about the acquisition, Ring states, “We fell in love with the build at PRI right after Larson finished the car. We followed the car while running the truck on radials and decided it was time for a class car.”

After the conclusion of the No Prep Kings season, Ring Racing wasted no time in upgrading the vehicle, delivering a new billet Freedom racing engine to Larson Race Cars. The car, featuring its new enhancements, was picked up shortly after the PRI event in December.

The 2024 season brings exciting partnerships to the forefront, with S&S Diesel Motorsport joining as the title sponsor for the Cadillac. S&S not only provided the fuel system, but has also fitted the car with its Motec M142 ECU, with MoTec support throughout the season, supported by Andre Dusek alongside crew chief Daniel Pierce.

Pierce, known for his successes in the diesel and radial scene, is transitioning to a crew chief role for the 2024 season. Despite the potential to jump into Ring Racing’s full-size truck, Frosty 2.0, if needed, Pierce expresses enthusiasm about focusing on getting the Cadillac down the track, emphasizing the shorter wheelbase, better weight bias, and improved aerodynamics.

The 110-inch wheelbase Cadillac, with 57 percent on the nose, presents a marked contrast to Frosty 2.0’s 120-inch wheelbase and 60 percent on the nose. Fans who fell in love with the Cadillac in its 2020 debut will be pleased to know that the Harts Turbo under the hood, known for its record-breaking performance in the pulling industry, remains unchanged. The turbo is paired wit Turbosmart wastegates.

The 2024 season also welcomes new sponsors to the Ring Racing family, including Hot Shot’s Secret, Freedom Racing Engines, Diamond Pistons, Nitrous Express, Menscer Motorsports, and Tin Soldier Racecars, among others.
