The team behind Formula 1’s official management series have confirmed the first details of the upcoming new edition of the game.

F1 Manager 24 will give players the ability to add their own team to the game instead of taking over one of the existing 10. The new feature, named Create a Team, will allow players to put their own racing squads up against the 2024 roster and compete against them into future seasons.

Game makers Frontier Management say players will be able to “customise elements of their team.” Pre-release images of the game show cars presented in a variety of styles and colours with fictional sponsors.

The Career mode remains from the previous two games, allowing players to take over an existing team. The Race Replay mode, introduced last year, will return, recreating scenarios from this year’s actual grands prix and challenging players to achieve better results than the real teams did.

The mentality system driving the actions of staff and drivers has also been overhauled to give the characters more defined personalities and alter how the interact within your team.

As in previous games, players will take control of staff hiring, car development, scouting junior talents, building faculties, dealing with the media and managing race weekends. New options for monitoring and controlling the team’s decisions within races have also been devised for the coming version of the game. The races should play out differently too, as the drivers’ behaviour has been revised with the goal of making them act more realistically.

F1 Manager 24 is the third edition of the series from Frontier Management. They are targeting a summer release date for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series X and S.
