LONDON, ENGLAND – March 27, 2024 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – RM Sotheby’s is delighted to announce its return to Hong Kong with two exceptional cars on offer at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre alongside Sotheby’s Hong Kong spring sales series.
This 2015 Porsche 918 ‘Weissach’ Spyder, offered via Sotheby’s Sealed, presents the arguably unrepeatable opportunity of acquiring a never-before-registered example of the landmark hypercar, with this 918 boasting single ownership and just under 70 kilometres from new. Just four were originally supplied to the Hong Kong market, with this example having been kept in static, climate-controlled storage since delivery. Finished in Rhodium Silver Metallic over a Black leather interior with Acid Green details, this 918 also features the highly -desirable ‘Weissach package’. The $80,000 USD option included various upgrades such as magnesium alloy center-lock wheels, shaving 45 kilograms off the car’s kerb weight. Additional options specified for this car included a front-end lift and the Burmester sound system.
This iconic Porsche was serviced at Porsche Centre Hong Kong in February 2024, with the car having also received a replacement for its high-voltage battery in January 2024. A rare opportunity to acquire what is essentially a factory fresh example, this 2015 Porsche 918 ‘Weissach’ Spyder will be offered without reserve and will be open for bidding on the Sotheby’s Sealed platform from 2 April, 3:00 p.m. HKT to 5 April, 3:00 p.m. HKT.
On offer via RM Sotheby’s Private Sales is a 2010 Ferrari 599 GTO, which will also be on display at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Hong Kong-delivered and boasting just under 16,210 kilometres from new, this two-owner example is finished in the iconic colour scheme of Rosso Corso with a Grigio Silverstone Opaco roof. Known in Ferrari circles to be one of the best modern-day V-12 Ferraris, it is one of just 599 built and of just a handful delivered new to Hong Kong.
