Connor Mosack will contest multiple NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races for Spire Motorsports this year, Spire announced April 23.
The 25-year-old driver has made recent starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Trucks and the ARCA Menards Series and will continue gaining seat time with Spire beginning May 4 in the Heart of America 200 at Kansas Speedway, where he won in the ARCA ranks last year, in the No. 7.
Mosack will also drive for the team at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 24 and Pocono Raceway on July 12. He will earn a second start at Kansas in the fall, followed by a final start at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Oct. 26.
Pinnacle Racing Group, Chevrolet Accessories and The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation will sponsor the driver’s efforts.
“I’m really excited to run these handful of races with Spire this year,” Mosack in a team release. “The [No.] 7 team has been really strong and the tracks we’re going to are some of my favorites. Thank you to Spire, Chevrolet, and PRG for giving me the opportunity.”
“Connor Mosack has proven he has the chops to compete at this level, so we’re eager to see him take the wheel of Spire Motorsports’ No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado,” Spire President Doug Duchardt added. “Connor has put in the work and has excelled at practically every level. He’s a versatile racer and a proven winner. We think he’s a great addition to our driver lineup.”
Mosack made a start earlier this year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Niece Motorsports in the Truck Series, finishing 19th. It’s unclear if his previously announced schedule with the team has been replaced with his Spire starts or if he is now racing for both organizations this year.
In 2023, Mosack made 23 Xfinity starts, scoring one top five and two top 10s. He also drove six ARCA races and earned five top fives and six top 10s in addition to his aforementioned win.
Mosack finished fourth in the ARCA and ARCA Menards Series West combination event earlier this year at Phoenix Raceway.
Spire’s No. 7 team has earned a pole, two wins, five top fives and has led 268 laps in the seven Truck races so far this season, using a variety of drivers including Corey LaJoie, Kyle Busch, Connor Zilisch and Sammy Smith.
