LONDON, ENGLAND – May 9, 2024 – (Motor Sports NewsWire) – RM Sotheby’s is delighted to announce an incredible selection of exciting consignments for its inaugural Cliveden House sale, hosted in the heart of the Berkshire countryside, just a stone’s from London. In what is set to become an annual fixture in the calendar, the auction will perfectly complement RM Sotheby’s long-standing London sale held in November.

Star of the show will be the 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta by Scaglietti. One of Maranello’s most revered models, it featured a shorter wheelbase than the 250 GT TdF, as well as a lighter chassis and more aerodynamic bodywork. Beneath that coachwork lay a mighty 3-litre Colombo V-12, in addition to disc brakes all round, which helped make the model incredibly successful in motorsport. The 34th of 165 examples built, this car was subject to a full restoration by Carrozzeria Autosport in 2009 and is offered with Ferrari Classiche certification, in addition to documented ownership by marque historian Marcel Massini (Estimate: £5,000,000 – £6,000,000).

2014 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse

It is not just supercars from the 1960s that will be offered at Cliveden House, with an extremely rare and beautifully specified 2014 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse sure to cause a stir. One of just 92 Grand Sport Vitesses ever built, this was the Bugatti model that set a record for the world’s fastest open-top production sports car in 2015, clocking a speed of 254.04 mph. Presented in eye-catching Blue-Black over a Tangerine Leather interior, this wonderfully optioned supercar has just 4,086 kilometres on the clock and documented service history with HR Owen Bugatti London. Arguably the definitive hypercar, this ground-breaking machine is estimated to sell between £2,000,000 – £2,500,000.
