For Saturday’s fifth round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season at Watkins Glen International, the Tioga Downs Casino Resort 120, there are 44 teams currently entered.  The class split is 28 cars in Grand Sport and 16 in TCR.

Rennsport One is bringing their Pirelli GT4 America SprintX duo back for some more action.  Eric Filguerias returns to the No. 28 Porsche, replacing Alexandre Premat alongside Stevan McAleer.  Filguerias and McAleer won the season opener at Daytona back in January and the first five Pirelli GT4 America SprintX races of the year.  It likely could have been six in a row, but an ill-timed caution bit them.

In addition, Filguerias will bring his sponsorship (normally seen in Pirelli GT4 America SprintX) from Community Beer Works.  CBW is Buffalo-based, so this is their home race.

Kelly Moss Road & Race, a team normally associated with Porsche Carrera Cup North America, has a Grand Sport entry for the first time.  David Brule and Alec Udell will drive a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS CS.

At Forbush Performance, Brandon Kidd will share the CMR Roofing Toyota GR Supra GT4 with Tom Long, replacing Mark Kvamme.  Kidd has raced part-time over the years for Automatic Racing.

In TCR, Canadian squad TWOth Autosport returns to the series with two Audi RS3 LMS entries.  One (No. 26) will be shared by Travis Hill and Eddie Killeen.  The other (No. 48) will be driven by Ron Tomlinson and Nick Looijmans.

Otherwise, there are no changes with the other 14 teams driver-wise.  There is a chassis change in play, though.  Bryan Herta Autosport’s No. 77 will switch back to the Elantra N TCR after racing a Veloster N TCR at Laguna Seca and Mid-Ohio following their Sebring crash.
