Drivers Unhurt In Violent Two-Car World Cup Finals Crash

X275 versus Hot Rod competitors Bill Colson and David Farlow were uninjured in a frightening high-speed, two-car crash during qualifying at the Import vs Domestic World Cup Finals at the Maryland International Raceway on Friday. Driving their respective Fox body Mustangs, the pair were charging side-by-side to the 1/4-mile stripe in the third session of qualifying when Farlow’s machine took an abrupt turn across the centerline, striking the right rear of Colson’s machine and sending them both into tumbling out of control. Fortunately, both drivers emerged from their battered machines without serious injury.

If you don’t believe in angels, let me tell you how real they are,” Farlow stated after the incident. “Had all my 2017 angels ride with me today and I’m here to talk about it. The cars hurt but, it’s not done. Heading to Tin Soldier Racecars next week. The yellow car needed some updates, so it’s gonna’ get ’em now. I’m good for the most part, making a voluntary trip to the hospital for a full scan to make sure everything is good.”
