Cory Roper Suspended Following Daytona

Roper Racing's Kaden Honeycutt at Daytona, NKP

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver and team owner Cory Roper has been suspended following the season opener at Daytona International Speedway, per the NASCAR penalty report.

Roper was cited for violating Sections 4.1 & 10.1.A of the NASCAR rulebook, which stems from behavioral penalties. In depth, Roper violated the Substance Abuse Policy.

The Vernon, Texas native owns Roper Racing and has made 43 starts in the Truck Series, with his last appearance coming in the 2021 season finale at Phoenix Raceway.

NASCAR did not disclose the substance abused, with the suspension being listed as indefinitely.

Kaden Honeycutt, driving the No. 04 for the team, attempted but did not qualify for the Truck race at Daytona.
