A native of Truro, England, Martyn began riding at age 3, entering his first competition two years later. As an 8-year-old in 2008, he earned his first of three British titles. He turned pro in 2018 and earned the 2021 Trial2 Championship before moving up to the FIM TrialGP Championship the following season, where he has competed in the premier class for the past two years. Martyn has previous U.S. competition experience, having campaigned the 2017 U.S. round of the TrialGP Championship, in Kingman, Arizona.

“I’m super happy to change it up this year and ride the AMA/NATC Championship,” said Martyn, 23. “I’ve always wanted to return to America after having ridden the excellent TrialGP there in 2017. I’m very grateful to American Honda, Montesa Honda Spain and U.S. Team Manager Martin Belair for putting in so much work behind the scenes to make all this possible. I look forward to seeing everyone at the events!”

U.S. Team Manager Martin Belair added, “I’m very pleased to have Toby joining us this season. He’s one of the rising stars on the world scene, and him competing in the U.S. this year should lift the series and make for a very exciting and competitive season. All this has been made possible through the collaboration of American Honda and Montesa Honda Spain, and I’m grateful for their help.”

The series has a total of eight rounds in four locations, including Sequatchie, Tennessee; Truckee, California; and Center Hill, Florida.
